VACANCY: IT Manager

My Norfolk based client are a world-class provider of cutting-edge technology solutions, they require an experienced IT Manager with a strong technical background to develop the IT strategy, policies and procedures, procure and maintain hardware and software to deliver a bespoke modern educational IT platform within a Microsoft environment.

As IT Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a complex set of interdependent tasks within tight time scales. These include requirements capture, strategy development, technical client liaison and maintenance of the system including planned upgrades. You will also be required to design and embed effective ways of working, providing training where appropriate.

You will hold line management responsibilities for the IT team, define IT staff competencies and develop the team appropriately. You will have strong planning, reporting and project management skills and be experienced in managing technological risk and change control. You will also be a highly effective communicator, routinely client facing.

The ideal candidate will have a breadth of technical capabilities and experience in the delivery of IT networks in support of a modern educational campus. Though there will be a requirement to be hands-on, the project requires a manager that will truly understands what they are delivering and ensures that project outputs are on time and fully meets user requirements.
